Levelling Up: The OFM + SAMM Partnership Explained

I’m really proud to share some news that’s been a long time coming: Offset Facilities Management has officially merged with SaMM Facilities Ltd, a company run by two people I have not only worked with for over a decade, but who have also become genuinely good friends of mine, Mukarram Moghul and Saad Aziz.

Anyone who knows them already will tell you the same thing: they’re incredibly skilled landscapers, excellent carpenters and, above all, unbelievably reliable people. Bringing the two companies together wasn’t an easy decision, but it was absolutely the right one and we’ve done it to expand our customer base, take on more work and keep up with the demand that continues to grow year after year.

This merger is the natural next step in a journey we’ve been on together for more than 10 years.

Where It All Began

Mukarram and Saad were originally brought in for landscaping work. Nothing complicated just straightforward garden jobs for clients. But even back then, something stood out. They were reliable, they were consistent, and they never once turned down a job. Whatever we threw at them, they took it on with no hesitation and delivered to a brilliant standard.

Time after time, the feedback we got from our clients was the same:

“Such lovely guys.”

“They work incredibly tidy!”

“They went above and beyond.”

And we never received a single complaint! Not one... and that’s very rare considering we have come across some unsavoury clients.

Naturally, as the years passed, we used them more and more. Their skillset grew, their confidence grew, and the trust between us grew with it. The three of us have shared many jobs, many challenges and a lot of laughs along the way. They didn’t just become valued contractors, they're very close friends to us.

The thing about Mukarram and Saad is that they don’t just work hard, they learn. Every job, every challenge and every new trade we exposed them to, they absorbed like a sponge. Over time they’ve built up a huge amount of practical knowledge across multiple trades.

Bringing SaMM fully into the OFM family helps us do exactly that.

SaMM now operates as the team focused on day-to-day, month-on-month, year-round work, including:

• Ongoing portfolio maintenance

They have a few trusted teams now, and they’re hands-on, fast, reliable and perfect for the continuous maintenance side of the business.

Offset Facilities Management (OFM)

OFM now focuses on the bigger-picture work, including:

• Larger-scale projects

• Fire safety and compliance

• Security solutions

• Ad-hoc specialist jobs

• Contractor management

• Complex refurbishments

• Risk-led and compliance-led services

OFM manages a network of highly trusted contractors and specialists to deliver these jobs at scale.

Two different beasts — one combined powerhouse

Together, SaMM and OFM cover almost every area of facilities management. The merger means we can say “yes” to more clients and more kinds of work, without compromising on quality or reliability.

Looking Ahead

If the last 10+ years have taught us anything, it’s that relationships built on trust and consistent delivery go a long way. This partnership simply formalises what has always been there; teamwork, growth, reliability and a shared commitment to doing things properly.

And with demand growing the way it is, merging now sets us up for the next decade of expansion, new clients and new opportunities.
